Emerald Isle Realty - Vacation rentals North Carolina

Emerald Isle Realty | Vacation rentals and sales, Emerald Isle, North Carolina

Emerald Isle is located on Bogue Banks in Carteret County, North Carolina. The barrier island is approximately 30 miles long with the town of Emerald Isle occupying the western 12 miles. Thanks to wise management of the island, there are many lovely residential areas which, other than a beach nestled on the site, are still in their natural state. Extensive maritime forests give our island's landscape the emerald hue for which it was named and shelter numerous species of waterfowl.

Emerald Isle Realty has a wide selection of annual rental homes from 1-bedroom apartments to 4-bedroom houses. Some have oceanviews, some are just a short walk to the beach, some are soundfront, some are waterfront on the mainland, and some are nestled in the maritime forest. These homes are usually unfurnished and the rental rate does not include utilities.

Certain homes in Emerald Isle Realty's vacation rental program are available for monthly rentals during the off-season with the rates greatly discounted from the weekly rates. These properties are completely furnished and utilities are included in the rental rate. They are typically available from September or October through April or May.
Soundfront areas are home to the little and great blue herons, osprey, and loons as well as to the more familiar gulls, terns and pelicans. Commercial areas are restricted to small, intensive areas of Emerald Isle and are well-sited and planned.

The island is three building lots wide in some blocks, giving a good view of both ocean and sound to many of the "middle row" cottages. House numbers begin at 1st Street at the eastern end of town, ascend as we travel west to the Point (where the ocean and the sound meet in Bogue Inlet). The island runs east to west; oceanfront cottages face south. The majority of duplex cottages have east and west units, both facing the ocean.
Within a few miles drive, you will find excellent restaurants, charming shops, large, modern grocery stores, fresh seafood and produce markets and interesting aquariums, museums and small historic towns to visit. You'll find the pace of our island life a peaceful alternative to your normal working world.
