This Castle is not an hotel… but a living breathing owner-occupied castle with all the intricacies and eccentricities of a 19th Century home. The hospitality and service is performed with subtle grace by skilled staff able to anticipate your needs long before you thought of it. The food creative Irish cooking complimented by a superbly stocked wine cellar. Our chef takes full advantage of the Estate gardens when planning his meals.

The Castle has been lavishly yet sympathetically restored, with twelve of the fourteen luxuriously appointed bedrooms having en-suite bathrooms. All the bedrooms are strikingly different, each decorated around a specific theme. Move from the elegant Empire Suite to the period splendor of the Napoleonic Bedroom; from the warmth of the Vivaldi Suite to the powerful beauty of the Dynasty Suite.

The Castle is an inspirational venue for smaller conferences and is ideally suited for business meetings, gala dinners and receptions for corporate or private entertainment. The ballroom accommodates up to 80 for dining, and up to 120 for cocktails. Full conference facilities are available by prior arrangement. Secretarial services can also be provided by arrangement, including Email, fax and photocopying facilities.

The Castle suits the active or passive. Bring your fishing tackle, your jodhpurs, your hiking boots, your paints, and your book. Enjoy some of Ireland's celebrated and breathtaking countryside, while passing time on your favorite pastimes. For the shooting enthusiast we have created Ireland's best Sporting Clays layout. Bring or rent a gun and take aim at some of the best clay shooting to be found.

The Castle is here to open its doors to you, be it for a week-end away for two or a week long corporate event, pick up the telephone and let us look after you.

ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES:

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING - Available for novices and experts alike. Clay Pigeon shooting is available For the more experienced, the Castle also offers an extensive Sporting Clays course. Spend a leisurely three hours or so wandering the Estate - Shooting Clays.

HORSE RIDING -The estate offers many different rides. Some riding experience is necessary.

FISHING - Local Gillie. Trout and Pike fishing on the Estate.

SHOOTING - Pheasant and Duck Shooting in Season. Prices on request

DEER STALKING - Join one of our Game Keepers in search of the local wild life.

POLO - In Season, and by prior arrangement, join our Argentinean pro in some Ball and Stick. Polo fields are on the Estate. Horse Riding experience is necessary. International all year, all weather outdoor Arena Polo can be arranged nearby with Polo Wicklow.

GOLF - Will be arranged. Rathsallagh House and Kilkea Castle have 18 hole courses and are 20 miles away, while the K Club has an 18 hole championship course, designed by Arnold Palmer, and is 30 miles away.

HILL WALKING - Join our own local guide for an invigorating walk. See not only the beautiful surrounding countryside, but also the many ancient ruins. I

BICYCLE HIRE - Bicycles are available from the Castle for guest use.

CROQUET - Available with our compliments on the Castle Lawn.

BILLIARDS ROOM - Available with our compliments for either American Pool or Snooker.

FALCONRY - Go hunting with your own Falcon or Hawk for a day or half day.

GYMNASIUM - Personal Trainer on hand daily.
